Fault location systems
Centrix
The new Fault Locating System

Central and flexible as the name,

this system combines all our available technologies in one cube.

With on single hand, you control the complete Fault location

Everything with left
Or right
Whatever you prefer.
No unnecessary switches and controls.

Fast, simple and without compromise!

Centrix 8
What is important for the user ?
We have very different users

In Germany, central Europe and some special countries

The experienced technicians and engineers

Im most countries
Less experience and training

In many countries
No training and experience

Thissituation requires some very different

argumentations, approaches and handling

Centrix 9
Das System is clear and open

The whole operation happens only

at the Control Panel

The user can focus on the fault

location procedure only

Wrong operations are prevented

by the Centrix and its safety system

Especially for utilities with a lot of

fluctuation of the operating personel
and personal on call this technology
is of high efficiency

Centrix 11
The Operator Think positive

He finds the faults faster Less trained users

Time is money
He finds the faults even faster The service provider
The system will never replace the expertise of an experienced technician

The well experienced technician

Less overtime His Boss, but also technicians

Safety is very important.

Our test vans have the highest safety standard Compared to Competition

The system is certainly not slower than manually operated systems!

But here the technician sits and waits

while he is busy with all the gears the in the manually operated system

Centrix 12
Advantages of the automatism

The re-energizing happens faster The system is simply faster

No measurement is lost History

The user has more time to focus on the evaluation Quality

The system is safer no wrong operation, less hectic

Better overview Everything on one display

Automatic measurement The user corrects and does the fine tuning

User guidance Specially for service on duty a great help

Centrix 13
Prelocation Methods
DECAY 80 kV DECAY Conventional Travelling Wave Decoupling

ARM 32 kV ARM The approved ARM Technology for short distances

ARM Plus 32 kV ARM Plus Arc Reflection Prelocation for larger Distances

DECAY Plus 80 kV DECAY Plus The only Arc Reflection Prelocation up to 80 kV

ICE 32 kV ICE Current decoupling with Surge and DC Impulse Prelocation

3 Ph ICE 32 kV 3 Phased ICE Special Development for Teed MV and LV Networks

ARM Arc The approved ARM Arc reflection burn technology is back
Reflection Burning Burn take over from 20 kV

Why are Decay or ICE innovative prelocation methods ?

Because the are conciderably improved, for example with automatic fault
location with Marker and Cursor, with subtraction of the test leads!...

Centrix 14
Remote Support
The Centrix offers several possibilities to transfer measurement data.
Preferred medium is the USB stick

Printing
Normal USB Printer (app. 500 Printers are available)
Export and Print as PDF
Anybody can read and handle this format
Winkis Export
With the Winkis software a further filing and data management is possible
Export of the complete measuring data files
by this method, everybody which has the demo software installed on his PC,
can import these files and handle them there like in the real test van system.
This permits evaluating, printing or transmitting as PDF.

Even the Demo Software provides a very efficient tool for the
handling of measured data.

Centrix 15

Field tests
From the many field tests two lines are shown here as representative
example

The first cable was a 63 kV cable with 8 km length

The results show all available technologies. It shows that all
measurement and prelocation methods perform also with an
8 km high voltage cable.

The second cable was a 20 kV cable with 750 m length

This cable was a branced medium voltage distribution network.
Also here all applicable methods including 3 phased ICE were
used and applied.

Centrix 38
The new IFL Mode

IFL Mode
Verification of a defined position.
This can be done by on single person.

Centrix 39
The advantages of the IFL Mode

One person can verify the faulty branch.

User can stay on the net (Without supply, but with fuses inserted,
removal of fuses is always a very time consuming procedure.)

Good and faulty phases can imediately be detected.

Also behind full short circuits the signal is still visible,

since the impedance change is much more enhanced by
IFL than by a normal reflection measurement.

This can be used to verify all phases.
