Why Are the Steps of the Assessment
Process Necessary to Drive Instruction?

The steps are necessary to drive instruction because the results provide
insight and implications for future instruction.
The instructor can monitor and adjust instruction as needed, based on
the results.
It is important to ensure that students are being assessed on what they
were taught.
The steps allow the instructor to reflect on the instruction and determine
strengths and weaknesses.
