Understanding the Phenomena

Objective

To understand what is the phenomena

To understand the phenomena of the gembutsu on the
gemba

What is the phenomena (genshou)

Phenomena is a link between facts (gembutsu) in

the site (gemba) that form a whole figure
Phenomena is a result of analysis of facts
(gembutsu) so we could understand,describe and
conclude a whole figure
This section is to give a brief explanation on how
to understand the phenomena (genshou)

The following slides show on how we are go to

gemba, see the gembutsu and conclude what is
the genshou (phenomena)
The site is a storage finish good which subject to
test.
This storage has a numbering system for each tray
This storage control by a piece of paper. Which
controlling a quantity, a testing mode, etc
The control paper is printed out

If we see at a glance, its looks like a good system on
controlling the storage

What we have to do is see whether the control is really
controlling the whole storage

Step 1 : Go to gemba and see gembutsu in
detail
Step 2 : See gembutsu: I found the
controlling system on the storage using
printed paper what is possibility ? Not up
dated, since it shall always printed mean not
simple
Step 3 : See gembutsu: raise question Is it up
dated ? , check the gembutsu, and I saw the
paper and the actual is not match it is not
up dated
Step 4 : thing another question : If it is not
up dated then shall has another evidence such
as wrong quantity, misplacement etc, then see
the gembutsu : found in same rack, the
quantity is not match

The control system is can not accommodate any
changes
The control system shall be review and simplified
