and more of its sleepy fishing villages are
transforming into the hottest vacation
centers catering to a growing global
community. And with the influx of
visitors each year, more and more
accommodations have set up location
around Tenerifes favored tourist spots.
These vary from five-star hotels at
popular beachfronts to cozy concept
apartments at remote rural towns.
Costa Adeje Gran
Hotel
The Costa Adeje Gran hotel is an immensely
popular, five-star hotel in upmarket Costa Adeje. A
major selling point of the hotel for families and
couples is its location that is right outside the
sandy Playa del Duque. The hotel features
amenities as well as numerous pools, gardens, and
in-house restaurants, along with spacious rooms
with balconies. Staff are unfalteringly pleasant,
attentive and professional, and all rooms are
modern with generous floor space, and either sea
or mountain views. Meals are mainly provided in
the La Finca buffet restaurant. A wide range of
good quality choices include meat and pasta dishes
cooked to order and good options for vegetarians
and healthy eaters. All-inclusive guests can expect
an endless selection of snacks and drinks available
at various bars around the hotel throughout the
day up until midnight.
Roca Nivara Gran Hotel

A chic, luxurious and friendly five-star hotel on


a spectacular headland in Playa Paraiso. Staff
are friendly, attentive and unobtrusive, and
facilities include a spa, pool and tennis court.
The double rooms enjoy the sort of floor space
that would qualify as a suite in many hotels and
feature walk-in closets, small lounge areas,
king-sized beds, and private terraces with sun
loungers. Breakfast and dinner are served in the
Garo restaurant which provides an excellent
choice of international cuisine, well prepared
and presented with the barbecued steaks and
fresh fish being particularly good. All-inclusive
guests can choose to dine la carte without
additional cost and have access to drinks and
snacks outside of main meal times.
Iberostar Bouganville Playa
Hotel
A newly-refurbished, centrally-located Costa
Adeje hotel offering an all-inclusive option and
family-friendly facilities. The hotel is directly on
the seafront with sunset views over La Gomera.
There's a relaxed, friendly atmosphere here
with guests who return year on year, and staff
who work hard to meet everyone's needs.
Facilities include a tennis court, a sizeable
games room with table tennis and table football,
and two large swimming pools. Rooms have
balconies with mountain or sea views, beds are
comfy, and showers are powerful and hot. Food
is given a high profile, with extensive choices of
quality dishes; dinner has a popular Asian
section.
Baha Principe Costa Adeje
This hotel at the western extreme of Costa
Adeje, in the resort of Playa Paraso, is at the
top end of the four-star range in these parts.
Service is consistently high from professional,
courteous and good-humoured staff. Two large
pools occupy the main gardens, while an infinity
pool tops the headland. Facilities are shared
with a twin hotel and include a spa, well-
equipped gym, squash court, and mini golf. Food
choices in the main buffet restaurant cover
every conceivable taste, and there are themed
Italian, Mexican, Spanish and Canarian cuisine
nights.
Gran Oasis Resort
A super friendly, all-inclusive family hotel
alongside the golf course in Playa de Las
Amricas. The staff are what make the hotel so
popular and bring guests back year after year.
Always smiling, ever helpful, and constantly
interacting with the youngest guests, they
imbue an infectious sense of fun around the
place. Three heated swimming pools, one of
them specifically for children, form the central
focus of the resort. Accommodation is in bright,
clean and spacious, one- and two-bedroom
apartments which have kitchens and lounges.
The main restaurant provides a selection of
good-quality, family-favourite dishes with
nightly themed dinners.
Hotel Isabel
A good-value, family-oriented aparthotel in
Costa Adeje, designed in traditional Canarian
village style with a rich choice of activities.
Family accommodation is in small houses and
bungalows radiating out from a central pool
area and set in extensive grounds with
bougainvillea-lined walkways and fountain
plazas. Inside, the dcor is Mediterranean-style
in cream and tangerine or cinnamon with floral
print soft furnishings. Meals are buffet-style in
the enormous dining rooms and in the open-air
courtyard at the foot of the hotels landmark
Canarian watchtower.
Hotel Barcel Santiago
A chic, contemporary spa hotel set on the sunny
west coast with quite possibly the best views on
Tenerife. Volcanic stone, smoked glass and
cactus gardens make for a stylish hotel and two
fabulous infinity swimming pools are set within
expansive terraces planted with palm trees.
Bedrooms, which all face the sea are bright,
sleek and sexy with generous floor space; en
suites are in turquoise opaque glass and some
have whirlpool tubs. Theres a warm welcome
and a friendly smile from all the staff. All meals
are served buffet-style, and menus are generally
of the inoffensive, international variety, though
the Sabor Espaol restaurant has a Spanish
menu featuring Iberian specialities such as wild
boar.
Iberostar Las Dalias
Iberostar Las Dalias is a popular, budget
friendly, all-inclusive hotel in the heart of Costa
Adeje. A daily programme of fitness and fun is
organised, including for children, and evenings
feature popular live entertainment. Twin or
king-size beds are comfortable, and some rooms
have panoramic views across the Costa Adeje
coastline. There's a genuine warmth to the way
staff interact with customers, which ensures a
high number of frequent returners. Expect
choices to satisfy even the fussiest of palates at
dinner, including many traditional Spanish
dishes, and lots of family-pleasers such as beef
burgers, pizzas, and ever-present fries.
ClubHotel RIU Buena Vista
A budget, family-favourite, all-inclusive hotel in
the west coast resort of Playa Paraso. The
outside space is given over to two large
swimming pools with integrated hot tubs, and a
children's pool, all flanked by sun loungers.
There are tennis and padel courts, table football,
billiards, an excellent gym and a nightclub. The
majority of rooms are junior suites with full or
partial sea views and consist of a lounge area
with sofa bed, a double or twin bedroom, an en
suite and a second toilet. Breakfasts are
plentiful, and at other meal-times, family-
favourite dishes are the order of the day. Staff
are endlessly good humoured and very efficient.
Iberostar Anthelia
A luxurious, five-star oceanfront hotel in
upmarket Costa Adeje. The hotel has three
pools, including a fabulous infinity pool, and a
Thai spa. Rooms are very comfortable,
immaculately clean and nicely quiet. All have a
small, private terrace and either a garden view,
partial sea view or full sea view. From the Zeus
restaurant which serves buffet breakfast and
dinner, to the Barbacoa pool bar for lunch and
the la carte Poseidon and Portofino
restaurants, this is a hotel for gourmets with
exceptional food. There's also a superb range of
sushi and creative Chinese dishes. Staff are
attentive, friendly and professional.
