DESIGN CONCEPT [No.1]
Background Development
D375A-6R is introduced to the market with significantly improved
performance.
Engine power increased by 10%. Field proven lockup torque converter
and automatic transmission that are controlled with state-of-the art
electronic control technology, new shape blade increasing hauling
capacity, easy-to-read multi-monitor, and CLSS providing superb work
equipment control. All of these features combined making the D375A-6R
the best bulldozer in its class.
To drastically enhance the competitive edge of the D375A-5R against
the D10T, Komatsu is proudly introducing the D375A-6R with further
improved performance and product quality.

Aim of development (1/4)
Further improved productivity
With increased engine output of 455 kW (ISO9249), the machine is
equipped with the automatic transmission and automatic lockup torque
converter allowing for optimum gearshift control depending on work
conditions. Combining the new shape blade and high cutting performance
end bits, the machine realizes superior productivity (low fuel consumption
and large production).

Additional "3L" gear effective for leveling work
1. The speed range 3L also can be used in reverse. When operating the
objective is to reverse as quickly as possible in order to begin the next push.
When the ground conditions are rough and do no allow for reversing in R3,
then R3L allows for a speed faster than R2.
Again you have the fuel economy benefits of operating in 3rd speed and the
operator does not have to rely on the de-accelerator pedal or changing
speeds to control the machine.
2. When the work load on the machine allows for a speed faster than F2, but the
ground conditions are uneven or rough. Then F3L may be selected to
provide a slower and smoother ride for the operator and still have the fuel
economy benefits of operating in 3rd adjusting other controls to control the
machine.

When the shoe slip control mode is selected, the gearshift mode is set to the manual gear

(Closed-center Load Sensing System) hydraulic system
Improved durability of hydraulic piping.
Work equipment valves are positioned on the fender as one unit, instead of
being separately positioned as on the former model. The hydraulic piping for
blade tilt cylinder and ripper cylinders are significantly simplified to facilitate
simple hose replacement work. Since the work equipment valves are located
in one place as one unit, the maintenance of them can be performed with
ease.
