DEFINITIONS AND BACKGROUND
Employee Commitment is defined as the
involvement with and enthusiasm for work. In other
words, it refers to the state of emotional and
intellectualcommitmentto an organization or group
Supply chain integrationis defined as close
coordination within a supply chain, often with the use of
shared management information systems. It includes
all aspects of supply chain including aspects involved in
fulfilling a purchase, including raw materials,
manufacturing, transporting and supporting services
(Flynn et al., 2010 .
Organizational Performance is an analysis of a
company's performance. It consists of three primary
outcomes; financial, market and overall shareholder
value Performance. For the purposes of this research, I
define it in terms of Financial Performance specifically
Total Assets Turnover and Return on Equity.

Employee Commitment is defined as the degree to


which a worker identifies with his/her firm and shares
its goals and values(Fields, 2002). Employee
commitment plays an important role between
workforce management practices and firm
performance in the area of human resources (Elorza
etal.,2011; Pattersonetal.,2010).

Linking Supply Chain Integration to
Organization Performance
Almost all the supply chain Integration activities directly connect
with finance (Cooper, 2009). Understanding the connection
between supply chain performances measurements and the
general measurements used to estimate the organization's
financial performance is fundamental to adjust supply chain
procedures' implementation to the organization's financial key
objectives (Romano, 2010).
The estimation and assessment of financial performances are
specifically identified with the organizational success.
Performance evaluation can help the firm to see their weak
points and also it defines their financial strategies.
(Browersox,2007).

The influence of an organization's Employee
Commitment on achieving Supply Chain
Integration is a less studied topic (Mello and
Stank, 2005). But employee commitment
could play a major role in the achievement of
a nonstop competitive advantage in the
context of an integrated Supply Chain (Alfalla-
Luque, 2015).
