Shot 1 In this long shot the composition features diagonal lines which creates an impression of movement which was used to emphasize where the subject is moving in this image. Shot 2 In this image we used a fill the frame technique in a close up shot of the park sign to draw attention to it and reveal where the setting takes place. Shot 3 In this establishing shot of the park that the character is entering we attempted to make the photograph as symmetrical as possible so it would be aesthetically pleasing to the viewer. Shot 4 In this very long shot of the subject we see the natural leading lines highlighted in the shot to to lead the eye to the character. Shot 5 In this shot we are put in the perspective of the character in an over the shoulder shot and so wee see what he sees. Shot 6 In this shot we tried to feature the rule of thirds technique into our photograph, highlighting the points of interest which meet at the intersections the character, the statue and the flowers. Shot 7 In this close of shot of the flower bush we see a pattern of flowers and leaves in the photograph. However, the pattern is broken by a yellow flower that stands out. Shot 8 In this point of view shot of the yellow flower picked up by the boy, we are put in his position and elicits a sense of interest. Shot 9 The final shot of the story is an extreme close up of the boy revealing his awe and amazement in the flower whilst also revealing that he has a yellow eye to the audience, emphasizing an important lesson about uniqueness and the beauty of it.
