Motorola Mobility is a division of Lenovo Group that develops


mobile devices. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, United States,
the company was formed on January 4, 2011 by the split of
Motorola Inc. into two separate companies.

In August 2015, Lenovo announced that it would merge its existing
smartphone division, including design, development, and
manufacturing, into the Motorola Mobility unit.
According to Lenovo, the Q4 2014 sales figure of Motorola

also the first time the company has achieved a 10 million sales mark
with respect to its smartphones, worldwide.
Huawei

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese multinational company


headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong.

In 2014, Huawei recorded a profit of 34.2 billion CNY (5.5 billion USD).
Its products and services have been deployed in more than 140 countries
and it currently serves 5 of the world's 50 largest telecoms operators
Sales jumped 40% to 246 billion yuan (about $39 billion) in the first half of the
year, a healthy increase given worldwide smartphone sales have flat lined
compared to last year.

LG Electronics Inc. is a South Korean multinational

It was founded on October 1, 2001 as a joint venture
between Sony and the Swedish telecommunications
equipment company Ericsson, under the name Sony Ericsson.

Xiaomi designs, develops, and sells smartphones, mobile

smartphone shipments grew 3.9% in the first quarter of


2016 compared the same quarter one year earlier
total smartphone sales reached 349 million units in the
quarter.
Samsung led the way with estimated shipments
totalling 81 million units
Chinese Android brands grew too fast in the quarter
