There are different kinds of systems in an organization.
No single system can provide all the information an
organization needs.
Functional systems that operate independently of each
other are becoming outdated.
Many have been replaced with large-scale cross-
functional systems that integrate the activities of
related business processes and organizational units
There are different systems supporting the decision-
making needs of each of the main management groups.
