E-COURIER SERVICE

INTRODUCTION
The e-Courier is the shopping portal of the world-renowned postal service on
the Internet and an additional distribution channel. It sells services like courier.
Under this website services can be searched and ordered.
The e-Courier is expanded permanently services in order to offer a product
portfolio corresponding to the market. Private customer and business customers can
order the selected products of the postal service online quickly and comfortably.
Besides this, the e-Services offer new flexibility through e-Packet, the PICKUP
order for packages over the Internet as well as the online forwarding order and
storage order. For the case of the absence or the move, one can let delegate here the
after shipment of the postal service at another address or store the letter
shipments. The customers can register themselves and can be served individually.
Target groups of customer of the e-Courier are predominantly little and
middle-class business. The customers can have a payment alternative
through credit card. In order to use the load writing procedure, the
customer registers itself in the e-Post Office and receives a login for its
purchases name. We are developing this website, which captures the above
functionality. It is an Internet application.
SENTIMENTAL ANALYSIS
Sentiment analysis is a type of natural language processing for tracking the
mood of the public about a particular product or topic. Sentiment analysis,
which is also called opinion mining, involves in building a system to collect
and examine opinions about the product made in blog posts, comments,
reviews or tweets. Sentiment analysis can be useful in several ways. For
example, in marketing it helps injudging the success of an ad campaign or
new product launch, determine which versions of a product or service are
popular and even identify which demographics like or dislike particular
features.
SENTIMENT CLASSIFICATION
Much research exists on sentiment analysis of user opinion data, which mainly judges the
polarities of user reviews. In these studies, sentiment analysis is often conducted at one of the
three levels: the document level, sentence level, or attribute level. In relation to sentiment
analysis, the literature survey done indicates two types of techniques including machine
learning and semantic orientation. In addition to that, the nature language processing
techniques (NLP) is used in this area, especially in the document sentiment detection. Current-
day sentiment detection is thus a discipline at the crossroads of NLP and Information retrieval,
and as such it shares a number of characteristics with other tasks such as information
extraction and text-mining, computational linguistics, psychology and predicative analysis.
FUNCTIONAL COMPONENTS OF THE PROJECT
Registration Screen: If the user is not registered, then registration screen should be available. We are also
providing new company registration, if a company wants to advertise themselves.

Search Courier: This screen will show five options which are to be filled by user these are source, destination,
height, width, and weight and filling the above search criteria, user will get a search result which shows which
courier company charges how much price. Here we are implementing fuzzy logic and naive Bayes Algorithm.

Courier Selection: This Screen will allow user to select specific courier service after this user will be
redirected to login page after successful login of user; user has to fill mandatory including with preferred pick
up time.
Payment: This screen contains the information about the payment through
which user wants to pay.

Terms and Conditions A Brief text on the website explaining terms and
conditions and printable copy of it.

Contact Information Contact information regarding the office addresses

with phones and faxes are provided on this screen
NUMBER OF MODULES

The system after careful analysis has been identified to be presented with the following
modules:
This project is divided into 9 modules:

User Registration Module

In this module user has to register if he wants to place order after the registration.
Products Search Module
In this module user and admin can search the service based on the search criteria.
Shopping cart Module
When the user want to place any service he has to click on the button-shopping cart when he
clicks on the shopping card button that service will be added in the other page then he can
place the product.
Shipping & Billing Module
In this module if user wants to evil the service then he has to give the information about him in the form of
shipping or billing details. Shipping details is nothing but where he wants the item to be picked. Billing details
is nothing but where the bill should be send to user.
Payment Module
In this module user has to give his credit or debit card information and then he has to give his pin no.
Admin User Management Module
In this module admin will manage the entire service if he wants to add the product he will add the products.
And he will delete the service or update the service from the list given by him.

Admin Catalog Management Module

In this module admin will see all the information about the product sold on the customer and the customer
information.
Admin Order Management Module
In this module he can manage the user maintenance management, category maintenance management,
product maintenance management, he can generate the reports.
ENTITIES INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT

Customer

Product

Website Administrator

Operator

Order

Courier Company
Customer: The target user of the system. A Customer is responsible for
registering them to the site, browsing site, placing orders and making
payments.

Product: Product is the entity, a customer looking for. A Product will be sold
to the customer.

Website Administrator: An entity responsible for managing users, roles and

roles privileges.

Operator: Operator is a person (entity) responsible for managing service and

orders.
Order: Order is an entity which describes the business transaction.
METHODOLOGY
REASONS FOR CHOOSING WATERFALL MODEL

1) Waterfall model is simple to implement and also the amount of resources

required for it are minimal.

2) In this model, output is generated after each stage (as seen before),
therefore it has high visibility. The client and project manager gets a feel that
there is considerable progress. Here it is important to note that in any project
psychological factors also play an important role.

3) Project management, both at internal level and client's level, is easy again
because of visible outputs after each phase. Deadlines can be set for the
completion of each phase and evaluation can be done from time to time, to
check if project is going as per milestones.

4) This methodology is preferred in projects where quality is more important as

compared to schedule or cost
SYSTEM ANALYSIS
PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION

Things are expected to get even more critical since the companys growing

numbers of clients and related requirements have been projected to demand a

massive number of employees in the coming future from the past and the

todays date. Such events and projections have forced a strong need for

modification in the current way of handling activities. it is better to implement

the latest of it rather than to go through the pain of updating the system over

and over again. Also the solution would be developed by in-house developers.

Their time have to be managed with their other client dependent schedules.
FEASIBILITY STUDY
Depending on the results of the initial investigation, the survey is expanded to a

more detailed feasibility study. Feasibility study is a test of system proposal according to

its workability, impact on the organization, ability to meet user needs, and effective use of

resources. The objective of the feasibility study is not to solve the problem but to

acquire a sense of its scope . During the study, the problem definition is crystallized

and aspects of the problem to be included in the system are determined.

Consequently, costs and benefits are described with greater accuracy at this

stage. It consists of the following:

Statement of the problem: A carefully worded statement of the problem
that led to analysis.
TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY

This involves financial considerations to accommodate technical

enhancements. If the budget is a serious constraint, then the project
is judged not feasible.

ECONOMICAL FEASIBILITY

With the help of banking application it will lead to decrease in cost of

opening and maintaining offices which will be more than the cost of
developing and maintaining the Application.
IDENTIFICATION OF NEED
To identify the need for software we use the Principles of Requirement
Engineering. Requirement engineering provides the appropriate mechanism
for understanding what the customer wants, analyzing need, assessing
feasibility, negotiating a reasonable solution, specifying the solution
unambiguously, validating the specification and managing the requirement
as they are transformed into an operational system. The requirement
engineering process can be described in five distinct steps: -
Requirement elicitation.
Requirement analysis & negotiation.
Requirement specification.
System Modeling.
Requirement validation.
Requirement Management.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

P4 2.8GB processor and above.

Ram 512 MB and above.
HDD 20 GB Hard Disk and above.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Microsoft .Net framework 4.0
Microsoft ASP.Net, HTML
AJAX Tool kit.
Microsoft C#.Net language
Microsoft SqlServer 2008 and above.
