Goalline -DL
Tight 33 Goalline Cover 1
For Goalline, we will remove one ILB and 1 DB. 2
defensive linemen will enter the game.
Tackles: Align in a 3 technique. Your nose should be on the
outside shoulder of the OG. Key the ball and attack the V of
the neck of the OG. Read and react to the offensive guard
playing the B gap.
Noseman: Align in a 0 technique on the Center. Attack the
center and drive him into the backfield.
Ends: Align in a wide 50 technique if you do not have a TE.
Align in a 7 technique on the inside shoulder of the TE if
there is a TE. Play the C gap, base technique off the OT.
Goalline - LB
Mike & Sam LB: Align over the guards. On
inside flow, fill the A gap.
Any outside flow to your side, pursue over the
top to the play.
On outside flow away, play A gap cutback as
your flow towards the ball.
Pass coverage will be backs out of the backfield;
contain on boots/play action.
Goalline - OLB
Snake and Bear Outside LBs
If no detached #2, align at 3x3 off the EOL. Key
as usual the TE or EOL (OT).
Contain all runs at you and play CRCB on plays
away.
If there is a #2, play goalline man coverage,
inside technique on #2.
Goalline - DB
Defensive Backs Align inside leverage on #1
WR and play goalline man technique.
If twins, corner over to play man on #2 and tell
OLB to move back inside.
If double tight I; play in the middle over the
center, give flow call to outside linebackers
indicating you will play high/low with any WRs
that run routes.
Motion Rules
If # 1 motions, DB will always run with him.
If # 2 motions:
1 back = go with/follow the motion man
2 back = stay and pass motion off to OLB on
opposite side

Anchor End: Align in a Strong Side 4 or 5 technique based
on call. We will call either Jet or 44 Jet. You will use
your Jet technique to get up field to apply pressure on
the QB. You are a C gap player in Jet and a B gap player in
44 Jet.

Blood End: Align in a Weak Side 4 or 5 technique based on

call. We will call either Jet or 44 Jet. You will use your
Jet technique to get up field to apply pressure on the QB.
You are a C gap player in Jet and a B gap player in 44
Jet.

Noseman: Align in a 0 technique on the Center. If no

nasty call you will be in a flex technique reading the
center. If pass, you will use a push technique and play
both A gaps depending on your rush.
Linebackers
Mike LB Align over the weak side guard at a total
depth of heels at 4 yards. Read the TB. You
have flow side A Gap if run flow to your side. If
away, look for crossers and flow over the top. If
pass, you will have TB out or spy the QB.

Sam LB Align over the strong side guard at a total

depth of heels at 4 yards. Read the TB. You
have flow side A Gap if run flow to your side. If
away, look for crossers and flow over the top. If
pass, you will have TB out or spy the QB.
OLB Snake/Bear
Align wider than normal cover 4, about 4-5
yards inside #1 WR. Key as usual the OG.
Contain all runs at you and play CRCB on plays
away.
On pass reads play Cover 4 technique. You
play Cover 4 as you normally would, only
alignment is wider.
Free Safeties/Corners
F/S Align 8 yards deep and 1 yard outside OT. You
will key the EMOL or wing for Run/Pass. If run, you
will be C gap player playing downhill as you would
at FS.
If pass, you are robbing off #2 WR. If trips, the
Safety to side of trips will roll down over #2 WR
and play robber coverage working #2 to #1. The
backside safety will move over to trips side and
key EMOL or wing, you will rob #3 to #1 WR.
Corners Normal responsibilities, field
coverage, with wider alignment similar to Bronco
Coverage, towards #1 WR.
