CHAPTER 1
Come on
bamonos!
Everybody lets
go learn!

INTRODUCTION
its primary purpose is to give
the readers an overview of
what the entire study is all
about.
It aims to introduce the
readers to the research topic
and research problem that the
study is trying to address.
Thus, this section of the
research should persuade the
reader that the study is
important and interesting.
Writing the introduction section
demands careful attention since it is
found at the beginning which usually the
first thing that a reader encounters.
A well-written introduction catches the
attention and interest the reader ;it
persuades them to read the rest of the
study.
the introduction should generally
include the background of the study, the
statement of the problem, the research
questions or objective, the significance
of the study, and the scope and
delimitations.
THE BACKGROUND OF THE
STUDY
its primary purpose is to provide the reader with
the context and explain the circumstances that led
to the study.
Discusses briefly the specific problem or situation,
conflict of ideas, gasp in knowledge, literature, or
theories that caught your attention as a researcher
and compelled you to select you to select your
particular research topic and answers the
questions, why are you studying this particular
research topic?
provides insight to the motivations and
perspectives of the researcher.
tells the reader why are you personally or
academically interested in studying your chosen
topic and what you intend to accomplish.
It helps the reader to understand
your mindset as a researcher.
often begins with a description
or overview of a situation or idea
of interest to the researcher.
It can also be an initial idea that
you would like to develop.
STATE OF
THE
PROBLEM
also known as the research puzzle or
the problematique.
Formal articulation of the specific
topic.
in writing this section, you need to
problematize your topic and explicitly
identify the specific situation,
problem, or issue.
Usually found in the introduction
chapter.
an initial discussion of particular
situation, problem, or issue that will
be studied.
THE
SIGNIFICANCE
OF THE
STUDY
not always apparent to the
reader. Hence, establishing
the significance of the study
is important for all
researchers in any
discipline.
it tells the reader why it is
valuable, what it contributes,
and why the reader should
devote time to reading.
