QUESTION -3
Put yourself in the shoes of a family physician
thats part of a small practice (containing five
doctors). If you were that doctor and were being
pitched on Script Pads method for writing
prescriptions, how would you react? What would you
see as the pluses and minuses of adopting the service?
Ultimately, based on the information in the case and
ScriptPads Web site, what would your decision be?
 My reaction is positive about ScriptPads method for writing
prescription.
Pros:
Easy to use
Simple screen visualization
More accurate
Saves time
Call backs option
Cheaper than other electrical medical record platforms.
Cons:
Need of an Ipad/Iphone/Ipod
Need of Internet/data
Need of proper data protection
Need of technical knowledge
I think it is a very useful app for doctors, patients, pharmacists.
Because, the facilities of using this app are,
lessening the possibility of a medication error.
Knows about the patients medical history
Alerts the doctor to know about patients medical profile
Helps a doctor to keep tract about patients and keep normal office
workflow.
Not very costly considering other record keeping instrument
Pharmacist do not get confused about handwriting issue.
So I think it is a very helpful app for both. I must use this app. But,
user need to know about properly use of the app.

 Answer: Students will vary in terms of their answers to this
question. An obvious answer is that a physician could
theoretically make a mistake in selecting a prescription
medicine using the ScriptPad service, by selecting the
incorrect medication or by selecting an incorrect dosage.
ScriptPad knows if a dosage is possible, but doesnt know the
correct dosage for a particular patient. There is no clear way
for ScriptPad, in its current form, to correct for this type of
possibility. Its hard to see how ScriptPads service could
make the incidence of prescription errors worse, but it isnt a
fail-safe system.
