INTRODUCTION
Mandriva Linux, or Mandrake Linux as it is commonly
known was the brainchild of Mandriva, a public
software company specialising in Linux and open
source software.
Mandrake Linux was created in 1998 with the goal of
making Linux easier to use for everyone
At that time, Linux was already well-known as a
powerful and stable operating system that demanded
strong technical knowledge and extensive use of the
"commandline"
 MandrakeSoft saw this as an opportunity to integrate
the best graphical desktop environments and
contribute its own graphical configuration utilities and
quickly became famous for setting the standard in
ease-of-use and functionality.

Linux Operating System which specializes in ease-of-use
for both servers and the home/office. MandrakeSoft

of-use and functionality. It is freely available in many
languages throughout the world.

CONCLUSION
Mandriva or Mandrake was the best possible operating
system available during its launch. It was most
