Research Questions
What is the level of HRD Climate in Select cement
companies?
How the general climate will impact on the
OCTAPACE culture in select cement companies.
How HRD mechanisms will impact on the general
climate of select cement companies.
Which kind of support from managerial staff to non
managerial staff with respect to HRD Climate.
How far the employees are satisfied with the current
HRD Climate in select cement companies
Data Collection
Total Nine cement companies( 10 cement plants)in
Rayalaseema Region
No .of employees = 1873
(only permanent employees not included wage board
employees)
At present 172 sample size collected( by using stratified
proportionate sampling) from three companies namely
bharathi, Zuvari, Dalmia
By using sample size determination formula total sample size
is 320
Objectives of the study
To examine the existing HRD Climate in the select
cement companies in Rayalaseema Region.
To analyze the perceptions of managerial and non
managerial personnel about HRD climate in the
select cement companies in Rayalaseema Region.
To examine the impact of HRD climate factors
towards employee satisfaction in select cement
companies in Rayalaseema Region
To offer some useful suggestions for the
improvement of HRD climate in select cement
companies in Rayalaseema Region.
Hypothesis of the study
Ho1: There is no significant difference between blue collar and
white colored employees interpret to their perceptions on the HRD
Climate
Ho2: There is no close association between employee perceptions
towards HRD Climate and their educational qualifications.
Ho3: There is no significant relationship and impact of the HRD
Climate on employees satisfaction
Ho4: The perceptions of Employee towards HRD Climate of an
organization are independent of Experience.
Ho5: The perceptions of employee towards HRD Climate of an
organization are independent of experience.
Ho6: There is no positive and significant relationship between
OCTAPACE culture and general climate of select cement
companies.
Ho7: There is no positive and significant relationship between
HRD mechanisms and general climate of cement companies
Sampling Technique
Stratified proportionate sampling Technique will be used to
collect he data for the research study.
Stratified proportionate sampling: Two population groups and
each one has two stratas as managers &non managers.
Sample size of each stratum is nearly equivalent to the size of
each strata in the population.
Sample Size
Sample Size refers to the number of items to be selected
from the universe to constitute a sample. . The sample size for
the present study is determined based on the following
formula.
s = X 2NP(1 P) d 2 (N 1) + X 2P(1 P).
S=320
s = required sample size.
X2 = the table value of chi-square for 1 degree of freedom at the desired
confidence level
(3.841).
N = the population size.
P = the population proportion (assumed to be .50 since this would provide the
maximum
sample size).
d = the degree of accuracy expressed as a proportion (.05).
