Title Selection
Select two or more algorithms, implement them in
programming of your choice, do some experimentation
with real data. Based on the results they find from
their experience, compare and contrast the algorithms.
Example different Graph search algorithms.
OR
Select one topic in computer Science. Review the past
and present trend of the topic. Based on your review
and your good judgment predict what the future will be.
This should be justified scientifically. Example
Pervasive computing.
How to write a good technical report

Before writing the first word:

Make your mind regarding the message you
want to convey
Try to define the likely audience:
Technical audience
Non-technical, e.g., general public
Taking into account the audiences limitations
and the message you want to convey, choose an
appropriate outline
Components of TRW in CS (in order)
Cover Page
Content list (list of tables, list of figures, acronyms etc.)
Summary (Abstract)
Introduction
Technical Detail (The core content of the report)
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
References
Components of Technical Report

Cover Page
Must include the title of the report, Name people who wrote
report.
Abstract
A summary of major research/methodological contributions.
Used in research papers and documents.
Introduction
A transition toward the main body of the document. It
should take an uninformed reader from a level of zero
knowledge to a level in which the reader is able to
understand the main body of the document.
States the objectives of the report and comments on the
way the topic of the report is to be treated. Leads straight
into the report itself.
.
Technical Detail (Body of the report)
Divided into numbered and headed sections. These sections
separate the different main ideas in a logical order
In this section you should have review different research that
are related to you topics and also add whatever you want to
cover in you project.
Results and Discussion
A description of the results obtained and analysis of the
implications associated with main results. It must be supported
by figures and tables to facilitate, not to confuse, the reader
Conclusion
A short, logical summing up of the theme(s) developed in the
main text
A short summary of the whole report including important
features, results
Content list
Reference
Details of published sources of material referred to or
quoted in the text (including any lecture notes and URL
addresses of any websites used) by IEEE reference styles.
Figures and Tables
They are intended to facilitate understanding of the
document by presenting relevant information and data in a
easy-to-understand-way. They must be integrated to the
main body.
