Water Solvent.
All about water
The boiling point of water is 100oC.
A physical property of water is its boiling
point.
When adding 11.85g of sugar the boiling
point of water went up 3 degrees celsius.
When adding 16.4g of salt the boiling point
of water went down 2 degrees.
Formulas & precision
NaCl, Table salt along with C12H22 O11 , Table Sugar when measured with
precision at a mass of 11.85g and 16.4g we poured it into 250 mL of boiling H2O
pouring in the minerals.

Mass, volume and Temperature
1. Mass: In the experiment mass played a big role. We measured the mass of
our solutes and then poured them into the solvent, or water.
2. A way we used temperature in the experiment was the hotplate. The
hotplate was set to 550 degrees celsius for a quick way to get to water's
boiling point.
3. The volume of the water in both beakers were 250mL.
There was no
cross
contamination
In conclusion...
The effect of sugar and salt on the boiling point of water is that when we add
salt to the boiling point of water the boiling point goes down 2 degrees going
to a temperature of 98 degrees, but when we add sugar the boiling point of
water goes up 3 degrees resulting in a temperature of 103 degrees, this is what
our group concluded about the final results of this experiment on boiling points
of water.
