Romans 6:14-15

14 For sin shall not have dominion


over you, for you are not under
law but under grace. 15 What
then? Shall we sin because we
are not under law but under
grace? Certainly not!

New Testament – GRACE (after the cross)

Under 2 Systems
Old Covenant of Law
– based on our Work & Performance
New Covenant of Grace
– based on JESUS finished work
Rom 6:14 For sin (hamartia) shall not
have dominion over you, for you are
not under law but under grace.

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned


(hamartano) and fall short of the glory
of God,
Rom 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered
the world through one man, and death
through sin, in this way death spread to
all men, because all sinned. 13 In fact,
sin was in the world before the law, but
sin is not charged to a person's
account when there is no law.
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was the
most cunning of all the wild animals
that the LORD God had made. He said
to the woman, "Did God really say,
'You can't eat from any tree in the
garden'?"
Gen 2:16 And the LORD God
commanded the man, "You are free to
eat from any tree of the garden,
Gen 3:2 The woman said to the
serpent, "We may eat the fruit from the
trees in the garden. 3 But about the fruit
of the tree in the middle of the garden,
God said, 'You must not eat it or touch
it, or you will die.'"
Gen 2:17 but you must not eat from
the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil, for on the day you eat from it, you
will certainly die."
Gen 3:4 "No! You will not die," the
serpent said to the woman. 5 "In fact,
God knows that when you eat it your
eyes will be opened and you will be
like God, knowing good and evil."
Gen 1:27 So God created man in His
own image; He created him in the
image of God; He created them male
and female.

6Then the woman saw that the tree
was good for food and delightful to
look at, and that it was desirable for
obtaining wisdom. So she took some
of its fruit and ate it; she also gave
some to her husband, who was with
her, and he ate it.

together and made loincloths for

Galatians 4:4-7
4But when the fullness of the time had
come, God sent forth His Son, born of a
woman, born under the law, 5to
redeem those who were under the
law, that we might receive the
adoption as sons.

sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your
hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"
7Therefore you are no longer a slave

but a son, and if a son, then an heir of


God through Christ.
