TRATAMIENTO
• Las dos clases de agentes antitiroideos son las tionamidas como los
tiuracilos (propiltiuracilo) e imidazoles (metimazol y carbimazol).
• Las tionamidas:
• Interfieren con la peroxidasa tiroidea en el acoplamiento.
• Tienen un efecto inhibitorio en la función celular tiroidea y su
crecimiento.
• Solo el propiltiuracilo inhibe la conversión periférica de T4 a T3.
