INTRODUCTION

❖ The objective of this project is to find the accident

spot at any given time and place

❖ Implementation has been done in the form of a

prototype and can be practically implemented on
vehicles

❖ This project contains GSM module and a GPS

modem interfaced to the Arduino Nano
microcontroller
The problem it addresses….
•Every day around the world, a large percentage of
people die from traffic accident injuries because
they don’t receive medical examination on time

•An effective approach for reducing traffic fatalities

is:
-building automatic traffic accident detection system

-reducing the time between when an accident

occurs and when first emergency responders are
dispatched to the scene of the accident

❖ GSM modem is used to send information
collected from GPS module along with other
details to a specific mobile number

❖ GPS module always receives the information
from satellites regarding the position of the
place where the accident occurs.

❖ Whenever any accident occurs the springs
come in contact and the drop in potential of
the spring is detected as collision
L293D MODULE
❖ LD93D is a motor driver
❖ L293D is a 16-pin IC which can control a set
of two DC motors simultaneously in any
direction.

❖ Whenever accident occurs sensor
detect and sends electrical signal to
microcontroller
❖ By using GPS, we get particular
location where accident occurs,then
GSM modem sends message to
authorized mobile number
ADVANTAGES
❖ The immediate medication will be
provided to the accident victims in
the remote areas

❖ Mobilenumber can be changed at

any time
DISADVANTAGES
❖ In some places where there is no
provision of GSM networks it is
difficult for communication
Future Scope
• The project can be extended by adding
an android application which can predict
the nearest hospital according to the
Latitude and Longitude obtained from the
GPS device.
•Also temperature sensors can be
added to detect fire and accelerometer
to detect car toppling
