innovation that is a virtue of
Quirk Box. This oddity, this
‘quirkiness’, and this implicit
need to be original and fun is the

 South East Asian art, artist and
manga are strong influences in
their design education.

DESIGN BRIEF
 The collection will be for the season S/S 18
women’s wear, informal. The targeted market
will belong to the age group 20-30. She is a
working women with one of the following-
marketing manager, merchandising manager,
model, actress or blogger. Income ranges from 4.8
lakhs p.a. – 7.2 lakhs p.a. She loves to
experiment things and loves playing around with
fashion.

 As per WGSN there are four mega trends for the
season-

 Youth Tonic

PSYCHOTROPICAL
 The forecast that we think our brand will opt for
is psychotropical.
 As stated by Lisa White, the lead on ‘WGSN- The
Vision: S/S18’ the psychotropical look will look “
exotic, bright and printed, from high- definition
digital nature prints to mixed prints of plant and
animal hybrids- from peacock feathers to
psychedelic camouflage. There will also be
intelligent use of recycled plastic and post-
consumer waste will be highly innovative.”
FORECAST BOARD
THEME- HYPNOTIC NIGHTS
 For the high- summer-drops, tones are more
saturated and juxtaposed with lush darks for a
dramatic mood
 An expressive brushstroke offers flora and fauna
and abstract quality achieved with oil pastels and
lashing of vivid gouache.
 Outlines are bolds and brash, paired with
dizzying geometrics for a hypnotic feel.
