Calculations for Solar PV Heating System-
• Load running on the system- 50W heater for 4 hours
• Hence total Whr on system = 200Whr

• Battery Size for Such System = 200/24 = 8.33 Ahr


• But only 60% of the charge stored can be used. Hence, actual capacity
= 8.33/0.6 = 13.8 Ahr

• Daily energy to be supplied by the PV module = 200Whr


• Daily avg. Solar Insolation = 5.5 Kwh/m2/day
• Thus, Total PV Module wattage required = 200 / 5.5 = 36.36 Watts
