Tidal Generation
Style
Tidal generating forces are generated
by the attraction force between the
earth, the moon and the sun.

Equilibrium Theory
 The equilibrium theory was first introduced by Sir Isaac Newton
(1642-1727). This theory explains qualitative tide qualities. The
theory occurs on an ideal earth whose entire surface is covered by
water and the inertia effect is ignored. This theory states that the
rise and fall of the sea surface is proportional to the force of tidal
generators.

Hydraulic Approach
Water flows due to the high difference, the greater the volume of water and the greater
the difference due to sediment, the water pressure is greater. Sediment factors include
material type, granular diameter and volume time of union.
 The transport of sediments that come flowing means the drag force becomes larger
when the slope of a large river, commonly called degradation. Degradation means a
decrease at the bottom of a river channel or the bottom of a river ditch. The
parameters are length, width, and deep.
 However, if the velocity is slow, the precipitated thick grains are generally called
agradation. Agradation means an increase at the bottom of the river channel or the
bottom of the river trench. The parameters is the length and width (thickness).

Hydrologic Approach
Hydrologic and geomorphic conditions combined to determine pattern and process
across a range of scales :
 At small spatial scales, water movement patterns during seasonal flooding, for
example, produce patches of aerobic and anaerobic soils on the floodplain which
different.
 Alluvial forest zonation patterns provide an example of moderate scale spatial-
temporal phenomena as they represent successional stages structured by the lateral
migration of the river channel across the floodplain.
 Large-scale topographic features of floodplains, such as terraces, were formed by
processes related to sea-level changes, tectonic uplift, and other long-term
phenomena.
