Circles of Identity Protocol
1. Entire group creates two circles, an inner
circle and outer circle.
2. Participants from the inner circle will face the
participants from the outer.
3. Using their identity maps to guide your
answers, participants will answer a series of
questions. The participants will have 1
minute to answer a question.
4. After each question, the outer ring moves
clockwise by one person and the process
repeats. Inner circle stays stationary for the
entire protocol.

6. Gallery Walk- Using the sticky notes on your tables, be sure to comment
on at least two posters.

table. If there are not enough, index cards at your table, let us
know and we will get you some.
● For the next 5 minutes, think about your one word that will
drive you this year.
● Write your word on the unlined side of the index with one of
the markers or pens at your table.
● Feel free to decorate your card.
● On the lined side, write your initials.

GUIDED READING NOTEBOOKS
1) Setting up your Guided Reading Notebook as outlined by DPS.
2) Reviewing lesson planning materials in DPS Guided Reading Google Doc. and Next Steps Book.
3) If you need help, or would like modeling of a specific type of guided reading lesson (pre-A, emergent, early,
transitional, or fluent) let me know and I can put it in my schedule to come model the lesson with a group.
4) Resources: book room is leveled according to guided reading, subscription for Reading A-Z provides all levels needed
for Guided Reading.

4th and 5th Grade Teachers are dismissed at this time.

4th Grade ELA teachers return to media center at

2:30 today for Close Reading.


MCLASS
1) Check out of materials. (Get the kit with your name on it from the back counter in the media center).
a) Go through your kit very thoroughly and find the items listed on the checklist. You are responsible for returning this kit as you found it so
be sure to check carefully.
b) Put a check beside the items you have in the BOY column. (Note: some items are for 3rd grade only. If you are a K-2 teacher you can put
NA beside that column). When looking at your Benchmark books, please use the list on the back of the checklist to ensure that you have
all 68 books.
c) Do not put anything in the last box for BOY. I will bring your PM kits to you in one of our first PLCS.
d) If you have everything in your kit that you are supposed to have, sign below the BOY column and turn in the sheet. If you do not have an
item, please see me about the missing items before turning in your checklist.
