What is Aplastic Anemia?
Aplastic anemia is a form of bone marrow failure.
Bone marrow- spongy tissue inside the bones that contains lines of blood
cells.
Cells are critical to supplying oxygen, fighting infection, and clotting the blood.
In this disease, the bone marrow slows or stops the production of new cells all
together.

Infectious diseases
Hepatitis
Autoimmune disorders
Lupus
Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Unknown factors

Fatigue

Pale skin
Symptoms
Irregular heart rate
Chest pain
Continuous bleeding
How do you get it?
Can be acquired or inherited
Inheriting is rare
Normally inherited during first decade of life
Acquiring is common
May occur suddenly, or can occur slowly
Result from an immune-mediated attack
Not contagious
Treatment
Mild or moderate aplastic anemia may not need treatment
Severe aplastic anemia needs immediate treatment right
away
can be fatal if it's not treated right away.
