RICO Auto Ltd. Is a cast auto parts manufacturing company . It makes
Aluminium components and assemblies focused on automotive sector . In
aluminium components RICO mainly makes ADC-12,ADC-14 alloys products
using high pressure die casting process . The parts are further machined in
HPDC shop using numerically controlled turning and hydraulic system based
machines.

RICO Dies Production Shop:

In RICO Dies production shop HPDC is machine.

There are 18 High Pressure Die casting machines. In HPDC machine two dies
are used. One is fixed and another is movable die

HPDC machines are Hydraulic system based machine. These machines are
of different locking forces like, 660 Ton, 560T, 400T, 250T, 200T,
60T, 1
135T. In these machines, DieCoat is used for cooling the die. The die is
cooledby water for an efficient cooling of casting. This also increases the
die life.

HPDC machines are work on the base of Accumulator pressure, Nitrogen


pressure, Die opening time.
In HPDC machine the following components are made:-
1) Outer clutch
2) Centre clutch
3) Friction disc plate
4) Lifter plate
5) Pressure plate
6) Front & Rear hub
7) Front & Rear brake panel
8) Flange final driven
9) Oil pump
10)Case distribution
BASIC FUNCTION IN HPDC MACHINE
Fettling process:-
1) First , take O.K. casting and start fettling.
2) First of all, remove outer flash.
3) After that, face of parting line is clean with the help of
rough file .
4) Clean the flash of ejector pin.
5) Clean slot hole.
6) After, check the casting and put in in the trolley.
COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL MACHINE (CNC):-
Computer numerical control machine are fifteen. These machines are used for
drilling, boring, taping, or threading operations.

HOW CNC works:-


An operator would be required to do with conventional machine tools is
programmable with CNC machines. Once the machine I setup and running. A CNC
machine is quite simple to keep running. In fact CNC operators tend to get quit
bored during lengthy production runs because there is little to do.

PAINT SHOP: -

In the paint shop the following process are done.

1) First load the component.


2) The components pass in the pre degreasing tank. It is addition of
pagancleanal -124(200gm) and water ( 100ltr.). Temperature of
this tank is 55 to 65C. It removes oil, dust from the component.
3) The compon ents pass in water rinse tank. This water is cold with
air. It als o removes oil and dust.
4) It passes in achromatising tank. In this tank achrom chemical is
coated on the component.
5) After that, pass to D.M.water ( water rinse) 1&2. It removes the
extra chemical and also removes the hardness .
6) After that, it passé in water dryin g oven at a temp. Of 100 to 110C
7) After that first coat of paint is done on booth first.
8) Second coat of paint is done on paint booth second.
9) After the clear coat (leather layer) is done on paint booth third.
10) After that it passes in baking room at a temp. Of 140 -150C.
After this series of operation the component is unloaded
ASSEMBLY SECTION:-
In assembly section, the assembly of clutch, brake panel, hub, flange final driven,
and oil pump assembly is done.
In clutch assembly following component are used.

1) Outer clutch
2) Pressure plate
3) Lifter plate
4) Friction disk plate
5) Centre clutch
