Unit Goals Students will be able to narrate plans in the near future using the futuro próximo and by enhancing their vocabulary. We will focus specifically on vocabulary regarding time, dates, and interrogative words that will be used to require information about future plans. (time, dates, interrogative words). Students will be able to describe some of the daily habits of people living in Spanish speaking Caribbean (Cuba, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana) and how they relate to their own.
Students will be able to critically analyze their own
values relating to work and leisure by looking at their own daily routines through the lens of Spanish Caribbean's people routines. Also, they will enrichen their own perspectives in time management by engaging with the testimony of young students in Caribbean Universities. Students will be able to describe their usual routine and to imagine and describe future plans like weekends and approaching holidays.
They will gain a broader scope on how time
management can shape their desires and its fulfillment. They will also reflect on how, regardless of study or work-related obligations, they are the ones who are in control of this aspect of their life and not the contexts that they are in.
