requirement.
 Investments Of Funds: The department decides judicious investments in fixed and current assets.
 Dividend Policy: The profits of the business may be distributed as dividend among shareholders and
retained for further investment in business.
 Miscellaneous Functions: The department performs several functions like analysing the company’s
financial statements, supplying necessary information to investors and government agencies , assisting
top management in the valuation of proposal for takeovers and mergers, etc.
