"SEEKING

HIS PRESENCE"
TEXT: Acts 17:27
"God did this so that
men would SEEK HIM
and perhaps reach out
for Him and FIND HIM,
though He is not far
from each one of us."
-Acts 17:27 (NIV)
If the Lord is
already there,
why do we need
to seek Him?
1. It is an act of our
obedience.
2. We can clearly see what
kind of a person and
who we are in front of
Him.
3. We will be able to see
what kind of God He is.
How to seek Him?
A. SEEK HIM IN WORSHIP.
"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is
what I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the
Lord all the days of my life,
To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to seek Him in His temple."
– Psalm 27:4(NIV)
How to seek Him?
B. SEEK HIM WITH ALL
YOUR HEART.

"Blessed are they who keep

His statutes and seek Him
with all their heart."
- Psalm 119:2(NIV)
"But if from there you seek the
Lord your God, you will find Him
if you look for Him with all your
heart and with all your soul."
-Deuteronomy 4:29(NIV)

 With a wholehearted devotion.

 With a willing mind.
How to seek Him?
c. Seek Him with a thirsty soul.
"As the deer pants for streams of
water, so my soul pants for You, O
God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living
God.
When can I go and meet God?
Psalm 42:1-2(NIV)
When we really
SEEK HIM, surely
we can FIND
HIM.
a. We can clearly see what kind of
a person and who we are in front
of His presence.
 Proud
 Lovers of money
 Unthankful
 Disobedient to parents
 Lovers of themselves
 Unholy
 Unforgiving
 Self-seeking/self-centered
SINNER
His presence will
expose how
unclean person
we are.
Do you want God’s
presence?
“Then lose your own.
You lose sight of yourself, and
you will gain sight of God.”
- Ptr. Benny Hinn
b. We can able to see what kind
of God He is.
 Gracious
 Merciful
 Slow to anger
 Kind
 Good
 All Powerful
 Majestic
 Great
 Faithful
 Savior
The more we
linger in His
presence, the
more He will
show Himself to
us.
A.S.K.
Ask and it will be given to you;
Seek and you will find;
Knock and the door will be opened to
you.

For everyone who asks receives; he

who seeks finds; and to him who
knocks, the door will be opened.
-Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)
"Our greatest desire should
not be for spiritual gifts,
But for the presence and the
power of God.
Gifts may not change your
life, but the presence and
power will.“
-The Anointing
