ADJECTIVAL CLAUSES AND THE
SUBJUNTIVE
This lesson will focus on the use of the subjunctive verb form in
adjective clauses which describe nouns that are not real and
specific. In other words, we have no real evidence that this
person or thing actually exists. We are speaking of someone or
something that might exist, but at this point is merely something
that exists in our imagination.
We also want to remember that we have to follow a time
sequence. When the main verb is in one of the present
tenses, the subjunctive verb in the adjective clause will be
the present subjunctive. When the main verb shifts to the
past, the subjunctive verb in the adjective clause will be
the past subjunctive.

RETAIL
RETAIL
• Retail is the English term for retail or retail trade. That said, it sounds easy, but it is a Little more
complete and concise than that brief explanation. It encompasses the business sector that goes from
supermarkets, through branded stores, supermarkets, shopping centers, to bank branches and in some
cases restaurants (fast food). It is closely related to chain stores, franchises, purchasing centers and
there are even those who believe that online commerce could go in the same bag, although I prefer to
call it e-retail.
COMPANY RIPLEY
DETAILS OF THE STORE
In the department store segment, the presence of stores in shopping centers is important and not in
isolation
That is why Ripley's strategy is to have 40% of shares in the shopping centers Aventura Plaza, while Saga
also maintains 40% of anticipation and the remaining 20% corresponds to Plaza S.A.
In general, growth and positioning of the stores is observed, which is reflected in sales and sales of
shopping centers that increased 15% in 2017.
