CALIBRATION PROCEDURES
This chapter describes the calibration procedure of a machine that could be needed, after
proper verification, when a better accuracy is requested or when a pre-programmed
accessory load table must be activated.
The calibration is performed directly from the machine display.
INITIAL CHECKS
Before switching on the system it is good practice to check all the connections, particularly
those of the power supplies, the transducers and the lock relay. Then make sure that the
Eprom is ON and that in general everything is in order. Then switch on the systems.
To be performed before calibrations procedures

Switch on the machine without load and wait for a few seconds
for the main working data panel monitoring on the display as
shown here.
VERIFY ANGLES
After that press the key a number of times until the page
showing the readings of sensors digital values is displayed.

With regard to the angle setting, it is simply necessary to check
that in horizontal (=°) positioning of the boom xxx xxx

These displayed values must correspond to the values given by the Manufacturer for this
specific model of the machine.

PASSWORD SETTING
Three different level of passwords in order to protect the system by unauthorized personnel.
The first is dedicated to the Technical Personnel just to replace sensors, the second one is
dedicated to the Service Personnel. Both of them can be settled by the Manufacturer.
The 3rd password is for the programming Engineers only.
CONFIGURATION
It permits to able the vibrate joystick

ACCESSORIES ACTIVATION
This procedure allows to select accessories on the machine. Usually, in the EPROM, are
installed different accessories data/load charts. During commissioning procedures it’s vital
to activate only the accessories which are delivered with the machine. Setting “1” it will
make the accessory operational, setting “0”, it will exclude the corresponding accessory.
This parameters can be modified with the “assistance” password in order to add a different
accessory if may needed.
Please remember that when the system gets initialised, some of the accessories may be
disactivated. They must be reactivated manually.
This operation consists in the automatic self calibration of angle and extension sensors in
boom in IN/OUT and UP/DOWN conditions.
Raise and extend totally the boom making sure that the two
cylinders of raising and extension are at the end of their
stroke. In this conditions angle and extension readings might A78 L20.3 W .0
