 What is ZTE eReader and
ZED Documentation?

ZTE eReader
It refers to ZTE Electronic Documentation Reader. ZTE
eReader helps you to view user manual libraries and
powerful documents management functions.

ZED Documentation
It refers to ZTE Electronic Documentation (ZED). It is a .zed
form file. A user manual library combines different kinds of
documents (for example, HTML, PDF, Flash and Excel) into a
package according to the Customer/User's needs. A user
manual library can be viewed by ZTE eReader only.

Note: You must Log into the website with the Credentials provided, before downloading the ZTE eReader.

 Difference between
Full Version and Green Version?
ZTE eReader has 2 versions: full version and green version. These 2 versions have
the same functions.

Full version Green version

You need to install it first to use
it
Procedure：
Step 1: When you install, select this version for
installation:
ZTE eReader V2.12 (Full Version) .
Step 2: Unzip the installation file:
ZTEeReaderV2.12.zip.
Step 3: Run setup.exe and then install ZTE
eReader according to the Wizard.
Step 4: Run the desktop shortcut to start ZTE
eReader.

You don't need to install i.e you
can use it right after the unzip
operation.
Procedure：
Step 1: When you install, select this version
for installation:
ZTE eReader V2.18 (Green Version) .
Step 2: Unzip the installation file:
ZTEeReaderV2.18Lite.zip.
Step 3: Run run.exe to start the ZTE eReader.
 How to Register
to be a common User
Step1：Input http://support.zte.com.cn and click Step3： Please fill in the information. Fields
Register with “*” are mandatory

Step2：Choose User Type Step4：After registry information was submitted, it is
necessary to log into email to activate your account.

Note: “Common Users” can access ZTE’s promotional documents only. For Product’s Technical documents, you need to upgrade to
“Advanced User”

 Apply for an Advanced User

Step1：Click “Apply for Advanced User” after Step3：Your account as ZTE advanced user for the
registering a common account. next 2 years is confirmed when you receive an email
notification, and you could get further permissions on
support website.

Step2：Fill in the application information & Submit.

You can apply for further permissions if you want to read

another product documents or extra authorizations.

 How to Get ZED Documents?
– Step1：Log into the ZTE eReader with the Credentials provided. Login
– Step2：Select Online Search.

– Step3：Select Family→Class→Subclass→Product, and then you can find and select the Version. Then click
Search.

– Step4：Click Download to download the interested file.

Note: For any other document requirement, which are not available on the portal after the login, Please contact PD/TD from ZTE with the
details of the General Purpose documents.

 How to Upgrade Your ZED Documentation?
If you have ZED Documentation which is already loaded into ZTE eReader. When there is
a newer version of this ZED Documentation in ZTE Support Website, you can use this
function to upgrade this ZED Documentation.
– Step1: Start ZTE eReader.
– Step2: On the task bar, right click the ZTE eReader icon, and then
choose Upgrade Package. A dialog box will be shown as follows.
– Step3: Click Upgrade Package, and then a dialog box will
be shown as follows.
– Step4: Click Next. Then the system will connect to the ZTE
Support website to find the latest version of the ZED
Documentation. If a newer version is found, then the
following dialog box will be shown.
– Step5: Select the interested ZED Documentation package,
and click Upgrade.
– Step6: The ZED Documentation package will be upgraded
automatically.

Method 1: Double-click ZED Documentation

Double-click the ZED Documentation, then the ZTE eReader will start and load this ZED Documentation automatically.

Method 2：Load ZED Documentation Manually
– Step1：Run ZTE eReader.
– Step2：Click Admin.
– Step3：Click Upload, and select the zed file to open.
– Step4：Click Home. In the homepage, you can read the ZED Documentation package.
