• Brand – a category of products that are all
made by a particular company and all have a
particular name
• Brand name has a narrower meaning. It is a
word, letter, or group of words or letter.
• Trademark is a legal term. It includes only
those words, symbols, or marks that are
legally registered for use by a single company.
• Service mark is the same as trademark except
that it refers to a service offering
