5
OBJECTIVES

To know the chemical composition of

food waste from different houses on
Brgy. Calawit, Balete, Batangas

To identify the composition and amount

of food waste that can yield at least
75% of methane

To design a pre -treatment process that

can achieve the composition and
amount of food waste that yields at
least 75% of methane

6
Different studies and experimental research about food waste to
energy conversion will be reviewed to identify the optimum food
waste composition that can yield at least 75% of methane through
Anaerobic Digestion using readily available biodigester.

DESCRIPTION Once the compositions are identified, food waste from Brgy.
Calawit, Balete, Batangas will be collected for initial analysis.
Based on the acquired results, a pre-treatment process will be
designed to meet the desired composition after which it will be
tested and methane yield will be identified.
