• Clause 1: Scope: Scope of the quality management system ,
areas covered and any exclusion identified.
• Clause 2 : Normative reference: It must be used in
conjunction with the standard itself.(fundamentals and
vocabulary)
• Clause 3 : Terms and Definitions: The terms and definitions
given is apply.
• Clause 4.1: General Requirements: this clause covers the
requirement of the org. to actually set-up a quality
management system
• Clause 5 : Management responsibility : identifies the
responsibility of management and need for effective
leadership.
• Clause 5.1 : Management Commitment: Management
commitment should be required for the continual improvement
of QMS
• Clause 5.2 : Customer focus: Top management should ensure
customer requirements are determined and are met with the
aim of enhancing customer satisfaction
• Clause 5.3 :Quality Policy (QP) : A QP should be built for
the continuous improvement of QMS and to meet the
requirements of the customers
• Clause 5.4 : Planning: Planning should be done for effective
QMS.
• Clause 6: Resource management: To ensure that the
resources needed to both maintain and improve the QMS are
available and also to carry out the work required in a manner
that will satisfy the customer requirements.
• Clause 6.1: Provision of resource: provide all the resources
needed of maintaining QMS.
• Clause 6.2 : Human Resource : Proper training methods
should be provided for the development of quality.
• Clause 6.3 : Infrastructure: All the necessary infrastructure
should be provided to perform the work.
• Clause 6.4 : Work Environment : The org. shall determine
and manage the work environment needed to achieve
conformity of service.
• Clause 7.1 : Planning of product realization: The org. shall
plan and develop for product realization . This includes the
need to establish processes , documents and provide resource
specific to the service.
• Clause 7.2: Customer related processes: All the
requirements of the customers and if any additional
requirements should be recorded and reviewed regularly
• Clause 7.3 : Design and Develop : The org. shall plan and
control the design and development of service. The design
process should include inputs , outputs , reviews , verification.
• Clause 7.4: Purchasing : the org . should evaluate the
suppliers and select them based on their ability to supply
product in accordance with these requirements.
• Clause 7.5.1 : Control of production and service provision
• Clause 7.5.2 :validation of processes for production and
service provision
• Clause 7.5.3 : Identification and Traceability
• Clause 7.5.4 : customer property : safeguard the property
