Introduction

Commercial building is a building that used for commercial use.

Types can include office buildings, warehouses, or retail. in urban
locations, commercial building often combines functions, such as an
office on levels 2-10 with retail on floor 1.
When space allocated to multiple functions, is significant, these
buildings can be called multi-use.
Problem statement

 consideration to cost effectiveness during the

design process.
 Lack of experience and skills also affects the design which
eventually will influence the cost.
 this research is dedicated to find out the process of
assembling different building components.
If we don’t design what could happen !!!!!
Column Failure!!!
Beam Failure !!!!!

Objectives of the project

The Main Objectives Of This Study Are:

To Improve The Development And Reliability Of Buildings

To Produce Standardized And Qualified Commercial
Building.
To Provide Safe And Sustainable Products.
To Enable The Delivery Of Safe, Environmental-friendly,
Long Lasting, Disaster –Resilient Cost-effective Building
And Provide High Level Of Service.

Conclusion

Our design is G+5 commercial building (hotel) Hargeisa

Somaliland is designed (slab, beam, column and footing)
using manual and software’s. The loads are calculated
namely the dead loads which depend on the unit weight of
the materials used (reinforced concrete, brick) and the live
loads using the code BS 6399 part 1 1996,other parts we
use BS code 8110 1997, Bs code part 3 1985.

 We Design Safe high quality and costly reliable structure

Conclusion……
The building is regular in plan and in elevation having ground floor height
4.0m where other stories are 3.0m height. The building consists of 8
major panels. and rectangular columns(0.30m*0.40m),beams of width
(0.25m*0.45m) and slab thickness 170mm.the size of the column is
constant throughout all story and the size of the beam is same
throughout each story.
Software's we used :
Orion .
Safe.
Prokon.
Etabs
Excel Sheet
Comparison Of soft ware & Manual calculation.

We Used Different Software’s Both Software And Hand

Calculations Almost Become Same And There Is No More Big
Difference There Are Small Once Like The Reinforcement That
The Program Calculates Which Is More Than One Or Two Bars
The One That We Have Done In Manual Design And That
Difference Can Only Be The Program Uses Many Factors And
Coefficients Finally The Design Is Safe According The Results.
Recommendation:
we recommend to use different software's
 to minimize time and get more detailing drawings for
accurate and safe designs
 to take the actual bearing capacity of the soil in the site
 to take the exact soil test.
 Drawing details easy to implement site staff
Cost estimation

Ground Floor: $ 189,973.92

First Floor: $ 132,428.22
Grand Total Of Whole : $ 937,326.53
