Microsoft Word or MS-WORD (often called Word) is a
graphical word processing program that users can type with and manipulate documents. Word Processors A program or machine for storing, manipulating, and formatting text entered from a keyboard and providing a printout. Home The Home tab is the default tab in Microsoft Word. The picture above shows an example of the Home tab in Microsoft Word. The MS Word Home tab allows you to change document settings, such as the font properties, adding bullets or a numbered list, adjusting styles, and other common features. Insert The Insert Tab is used to insert different features such as tables, pictures, clip art, shapes, charts, page numbers, word art, headers, and footers into a document. Design
Overall, the Design tab in Word 2016
brings some of the more hidden formatting options into view. You can change Style Sets from this tab. Layout The Page Layout Tab lets you control the look and feel of your document in Microsoft Word. You can apply a global design to your document by using one of the available themes and color schemes. You can also change the document orientation, page size, margins, indentation, line spacing and paragraph settings References The References Tab on Microsoft Word offers a quick way to enter your document sources, citations and choose a style like APA, MLA etc. On the References tab you will find things like Table of Contents, Footnotes, Citations & Bibliography, Table of Figures, Captions, Indexes and Table of Authorities. Review The review tab is useful in a number of ways. For instance, you can use it for proofing your document, adding or removing comments, and tracking changes among other things. View
The view tab will be mostly used with your complete
