National Drug Education Program (NDEP)

◦NDEP is a comprehensive educational program

which provides for a holistic approach to the
problem of drug abuse. It was designed to
enable all sectors to work collaboratively with
the school system as the core, thereby, unifying
all sectoral endeavors.

development of desirable values, attitudes &
practices

Maximize utilization of school resources which can

contribute to the child’s cognitive, affective and
psychomotor development relative to drug abuse

Program(NDEP) Club of Cataingan NHS
visited the detainees of Cataingan
Bureau of Jail Management and
Penology (BJMP) on November last
year.
◦ One of the activities by the club was to
visit BJMP in the month of November.
◦ The adviser and the NDEP Club officers
and members went to the place and
accommodated well by the staff. They
were allowed to give the grocery items
like noodles, canned goods and the like
and have a talk and interview with the
detainees especially on the issues of
drugs.
