National Drug Education Program (NDEP)

◦NDEP is a comprehensive educational program


which provides for a holistic approach to the
problem of drug abuse. It was designed to
enable all sectors to work collaboratively with
the school system as the core, thereby, unifying
all sectoral endeavors.

Prevent drug abuse among students thru


development of desirable values, attitudes &
practices

Maximize utilization of school resources which can


contribute to the child’s cognitive, affective and
psychomotor development relative to drug abuse
prevention
NDEP Objectives
Strengthen parent & community participation thru
viable linkages w/ multi-sectoral orgs. involved in the
anti-drug abuse campaign

Provide in-service training of teachers & other school


officials to enable them to help young people
enhance their life skills which relate to the
prevalence of drug abuse

Initiate researches/studies

PERSONNEL WHO UNDERWENT DRUG TESTING ON MAY 3, 2018,
CONDUCTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN COORDINATION
WITH THE DEP.ED CENTRAL OFFICE HEADED BY MS. MARGE
LATOSA.
