$500 billion in infrastructure in the five years ending March


2012.
m India will need to spend more than $1 trillion on
infrastructure from 2010 to 2019, with
Roads - $427 billion
Power - $288 billion and
Railways $281 billion(Goldman Sachs.)
m Around 7.5% of GDP is invested in infrastructure, with
plans to increase that to about 10% at the end of the 2008-
2012 five-year plan.
m Private investment will likely contribute 36%, or $186
billion up from 25% for the 2002-2007 period.
