• EMBEDDED SYSTEM
• BIOMETRICS
A specialized computer system that is part of a larger system or
machine. Typically, an embedded system is housed on a single
microprocessor board with the programs stored in ROM. Virtually
all appliances that have a digital interface -- watches, microwaves,
VCRs, cars -- utilize embedded systems. Some embedded systems
include an operating system, but many are so specialized that the
entire logic can be implemented as a single program.
• Biometrics are technologies that measure and
analyze human body characteristics for
identification purposes.
• Biometrics improve business processes
because of their ability to quickly and
accurately indentify an individual and grant
specific privileges.
• Some common biometrics solutions include:
Physiological: Face, Fingerprint, Hand, Iris,
DNA
Behavioural: Keystroke, Signature, Voice
Biometric products are not created equal.
All manufacturers are using different readers and different recognition

A fingerprint sensor is an electronic device used to
capture a digital image of the fingerprint pattern
.
A Micro controller consists of a powerful CPU tightly coupledwith
memory RAM, ROM or EPROM),
various I / O features such as Serial ports, Parallel Ports,
Timer/Counters, Interrupt Controller, Data Acquisition interfaces-Analog
to Digital Converter (ADC), Digital to Analog Converter (ADC),
everything integrated onto a single Silicon Chip.
