MATERIALS FOR AUDITORIUMS

THE MAIN CHALLENGE FOR AUDITORIUM IS CREATING SUFFICINT LOUDNESS

FOR AUDIENCE .
MANY OF THE STRATEGIES USED BY GREEK AND ROMAN STILL HOLD.
RAKED SEATING NOT ONLY GOOD SIGHT LINES BUT ALSO GOOD HEARING
LINES.
A HARD REFLECTING SURFACE BEHIND THE PERFORMANCE IS VERY HELPFUL.
SINCE THE IN A SURFACE THEATER ARE LARGE MOST SOUND FREQUENCIES
CAN BE DESCRIBE AS RAYS.
RAY DIAGRAM CAN BE USED TO DESIGN AND DEMONSTRATE HOW A
MAXIMUM SOUND ENERGY IS TRANSMITTED TO AUDIENCE AT THE REAR OF
A SPACE AND HOW THE SOUND IS DIFFUSE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE
SPACE.
IN AUDITORIUM THE SOUND ABSORPTION CAN BE DESIGNED TO GIVE
REVERBRATION TIME .
FOR A GIVEN VOLUME OF A SPACE THE
REVERBRATION TIME IS A FUNCTION OF AMOUNT
OF SOUND ABSORPTION ,THE DESIGNER NEED TO
ADD OR REMOVE ABSORBING MATERIAL TO ADJUST
THE REVERBRATION TIME. SO THE BACK WALL
NEEDS TO COVERED WITH ABSORBING MATERIAL
TO PREVENT ECHOES ,BECAUSE THE ABSORPTION
OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE PRESENT AND THE EMPTY
SEATS IS ONLY PARTIALLY UNDER THE DESIGNER’S
CONTROLLAND BECAUSE THE CELLING IS NEEDED
TO REFLECT SOUND TO THE REAR OF THE
AUDIENCE. TO PREVENT THE ECHOES , THE REAR
WALL MUST BE COVERED WITH ABSORBENT
MATERIAL .SINCE THE SIDE WALLS NEAR THE STAGE
SOUND ABSORPTION MATERIAL

 WALL COVERING
 ACOUSTIC FOAM

 Acousta Board Black

 Acousta Blanket Black

 Wood Wool Acoustic Board

 NoiseBlok Mass Loaded Vinyl Barrier

 NoiseBlok Mass Loaded Vinyl Barrier, also known as MLV, is a limp-mass
barrier material used to block unwanted sound and reduce sound
transmission without reducing space. NoiseBlok is a non-toxic flexible
barrier material that is easy to install and can be easily cut on-site with a
regular utility knife.
AcoustaBoard Black

 Rigid glass fiber board with an abuse resistant black

non-woven facing. Used for sound control in theaters,
sound studios, and entertainment facilities in
applications requiring an exposed, black faced sound
absorbing insulation. Deep black facing.

AcoustaBlanket Black
 Black glass fiber blanket with an abuse resistant black
surface. Used for sound control in theaters, sound
studios and entertainment facilities which require a
black sound absorbing insulation.
WOOD WOOL ACOUSTIC BOARD

Wood Wool Acoustic Board is a

both a highly acoustic board.
Although is has good thermal
insulation properties, the
porous surface design ensures
very high acoustic properties
and makes it one of the best
product for the purpose.
Cinema halls, theaters,
Recording studios and ceiling
and walls of big halls are some
of the application areas.
CORK FLOORING
 CORK FLORING HAS BEEN USED
BECAUSE OF ITS DURABILITY AND
ITS ABILITY TO ABSORB SOUND.
 THE REDUCE AMBINENT NOISE
CAUSED BY MOVEMENT OF
PEOPLE WITH IN THE
AUDITORIUM.
 IT IS ALSO ABLE TO HANDLE THE
EXPECTED HEAVY TRAFFIC
WITHOUT REQUIRING MUCH
MAINTENANCE.
CARPETS FOR FLOORING

 Whatever type of floor covering you need, we

can supply and install it.
 it will absorb sound – ideal for multi-screen
cinemas and multi-function spaces.
TEAK TIMBER
 TEAK TIMBER WOOD USED IN
WALL SLATS AS WALL AS IN THE
STAGE WALL AND CELLING
PANEL .
 IT IS GOOD FOR ACOUSTIC DUE
TO ITS REFLECTIVE NATURE.
 THE TIMBER IS TREATED WITH
MATTE VANISH.
 THE PLAY WITH TIMBER SLATS
GIVES A NETURAL FOR THE
LARGLEY RED COLOUR
SCHEME TAMING IT.
FIBER BOARD
 FIBER BOARD HAS BEEN USED
IN THE ACOUSTIC CELLING
PANELS BECAUSE OF ITS
ABILITY TO REFLECT THE
SOUNDING A CONTROLLED
MANNER.
 THE DARK GREY COLOUR USED
ON FIBER BOARD REDUCES
DISTRACTION BY THE CELLING
PANEL KEEPING FOCUS ON THE
STAGE.
REFLECTOR PANELS
FOR CELLING
 Designed for large spaces
requiring improved sound
directivity, strength, and
timing of reflections from the
ceiling area, this product is
perfect for auditoriums,
lecture halls, and performing
arts centers. panels allow the
designer to custom size large
curved reflector surfaces. The
angle of reflection is adjusted
in the field using turnbuckle
and cable suspension.
POLYURETHANE FOAM FOR SEATING
 POLYURETHANE FOAM HAS BEEN
USED IN SEATS AS WELL AS IN WALL
PANELS AT THE BACK OF THE
AUDITORIUM.
 IT HAS BEEN USED BECAUSE OF ITA
ABILITY TO ABSORB SOUND AND
PREVENT ECHO.
 THE SEATING IS DESIGNED TO
ABSORB EVEN WHEN THE
AUDITORIUM IS NOT FOLLY OCCUPIED
 THE SEATS USE HIGH DENSITY FOAM
BECAUSE OF ITS LONG LASTING
NATURE IN THE HEAVY TRAFFIC AREA.
 THE WALL PANELS ARE THEN
COVERED IN DARK COLORED LEATHER
KEEPING ITS MUTE.
MATERIAL FOR SEATING

 Padding material shall be flexible polyurethane foam which conforms

to the standards of the California Bureau of Home Furnishings 117.
The back shall be 2” thick. The seat shall be 3” thick.
 Seating fabric shall be with the color to be selected from the
standard choice of colors. The inner back and seat shall be
upholstered by attaching the fabric to the inside wood back and seat
panels. All upholstery shall be first quality without creases, stretch

 Exposed wood on the outer back and seat panels shall be veneer.
The panel edges shall be stained to match the veneer faces. The
arms shall be solid wood. All wood shall be stained in any of the
manufacturer’s standard finishes.
STAIRCASES
All staircases shall be constructed entirely of bricks,
stone cement or concrete with fire resisting roof
ceiling. There shall be at least two staircases
ofwidth not less than 1.50mts to provide access to
any gallery or upper floor in the buildings which is
intended to be used by the public . The treads and
risers of steps shall be of uniform width and
height. All staircases shall have on both sides
strong handrails firmly secured to the wall by
strong metal brackets. No staircase shall
discharge into the passage or corridor against or
across the direction of exit
DOOR
 wood and metal acoustical doors are used in premier
live performance venues and industrial applications
where noise and sound control is of primary concern.
 The Single & Double acoustic internal door sets are fire
rated & available in a wide range of wood & Laminate
finishes. They are used wherever high sound reduction
performance required between noise sensitive area
such as Private offices, Conference Hall, Auditorium,
Theaters, Recording studio, Music hall, Stadium, Lecture
Hall, Hotel, Museum, Library, Banks, Courts, Multi-
