Takes our obligations very seriously and invest
considerable time, energy and resources implement
action plans and assessing our performance so that
improve industrial safety, local development, the future
of energy.
K Committed to playing an active role in both the
immediate local areas in which it is based, and in the
wider world. In the UK, Total Gas & Power is involved
in a wide variety of community projects focused
mainly on young people, the environment, and the arts.
Below are some recent examples of our involvement.

K t Faith's Family Centre assists the children of families
who require support through various traumas occurring
in their lives. For the past three years, business units
from Total Gas & Power 'adopt' a child who they then
buy a Christmas present for. The presents are
couriered to the Family Centre where they are
distributed at the Christmas party. This is always very
popular with Redhill staff, with more than 40 gifts
being donated.

 It is designed to encourage cross-curricular
work on the environment and to create interest in
energy in all its forms through cience and the Arts. In
its first year, the cheme generated 50 entries.
However, in 2008 the figure increased to 201 entries
across 147 schools and involving upwards of 6000
children - a clear indication of success. The Group
have already confirmed participation in 2009!

K Five Redhill staff volunteered as Ambassadors and then
set about the task of contacting schools in the outhern
Region. Their efforts contributed to the 81 entries
generated in the outh. Regional Winners, Turners Hill
C of E Primary chool based in East Grinstead, went
on to become one of the National Finalists, competing
with just three other schools for the chance to become
overall winners. This accolade ultimately went to
Banchory chool from Aberdeen, but on the day, as
finalists attended the Award Ceremony at London Zoo
on June 26th, they were all winners.

K For the third year running, Blood Donation sessions
were scheduled at Bridge Gate, with the mobile unit
now becoming a regular feature in the car park. This
year so far sessions have taken place in January and
May, with the next session scheduled for
eptember. On each occasion we book 40+
appointments with donations of almost 39 pints of
blood on each occasion.

K Total have continued as a member of the the Easit
Forum. The Easit mission statement is to reduce the
number of private vehicle journeys made by businesses
in East urrey, to achieve a reduction in traffic
congestion, limit the impact on the local environment
and improve the health and well being of both
employees and the wider community.

K To achieve this, Easit promote, develop and implement
initiatives that will encourage and enable individuals
and organizations to make positive changes to their
travel habits, particularly their use of more sustainable
means of transport.

K Gym Membership  We currently have 98 active
members of Donyngs Recreation Centre in Redhill.
K Bike Applications - A total of 29 bike purchases have
been agreed since 2005 when our Transport and
Parking Policy was first implemented. For such a
purchase to be agreed, the individual surrenders the
right to be considered for a future parking space.
