 Diabetes Mellitus is a

metabolic
disease that is a collection of
symptoms that arise in a person
because of an increase in blood
glucose levels above normal values.
This disease is caused by impaired
glucose metabolism due to insulin
deficiency either in absolute or
relative. (Ministry of Health, 2013).

2000 to 2030 in Asia according to the World Health Organization (WHO) said
diabetes cases in Asia will rise to 90% in the next 20 years, especially in India as a

much affected by diabetes in the next 12 years.
Types of Diabetes Mellitus
