 WHAT IS KAHOOT?
- KAHOOT IS A TOOL THAT TEACHERS CAN USE TO SURVEY THEIR CLASS OR CAN BE USED
FOR AN INFORMAL ASSESSMENT TOOL.
-IT IS AN ENGAGING TOOL THAT ASSESS STUDENTS WITH MULTIPLE TYPES OF QUESTIONS.
THE QUESTION IS PROJECTED TO THE STUDENTS WHILE THE STUDENTS ANSWER THE
QUESTION ON THEIR TYPE OF DEVICE.
- THE RESPONSE DATA IS THEN SENT TO THE TEACHER TO FURTHER ANALYZE IN WHICHEVER
WAY THE ASSESSMENT IS BEING USED.
 WHY IS KAHOOT BENEFICIAL?

• IT IS ABLE TO COLLECT DATA FROM STUDENTS VERY QUICKLY

• CAN BE USED AS AN ASSESSMENT FOR SMALL GROUP OR WHOLE GROUP

• CAN BE USED A PRE- ASSESSMENT OR POST ASSESSMENT
• VERY ENGAGING FOR THE STUDENTS
• CAN BE USED AN A “CENTER” ASSIGNMENT
• CAN BE USED TO SURVEY STUDENTS
 HOW TO CREATE A KAHOOT ACCOUNT
STEP 1 : TYPE GETKAHOOT.COM ON YOUR
BROWSER
- Click on the “Sign up ” ( the orange)
button
- Type in all of your information
regarding opening your new account.

CREATE NEW KAHOOT

- Once you have entered all of you

information, you can start creating your
Kahoot!

- I am going to focus on the Quiz portion of

Kahoot. Click on create Quiz.

START MAKING YOUR QUIZ

Next, you can start by putting

in all of the basics of the
quiz.

Start by putting the title,

description, audience and you
can add a picture if you
prefer.

When you are done click the

green “OK, go!” button
 STEP 4
ADD YOUR QUESTIONS
Start by clicking “Add Question”

-Start typing all of your questions for the

quiz.
-Here you can adjust the time limit for each
question and decide if you want to award
points.
-You will also need to click on the check
mark next to the correct answer.
-After each question be sure to click “Next”
to move on to the next question.
 STEP 5

Keep adding as many questions as you want your quiz by clicking the purple +
 STEP 6
REPEAT THIS PROCESS UNTIL YOU ARE DONE WITH
THE QUESTIONS

SAVE YOUR QUIZ
When you are finished
creating all of your
questions, click the green
“Save” button

SHARE YOUR QUIZ
To play this quiz with
your class, click the
green play it button.

BEFORE YOUR CLASS PLAYS
Click the classic button
to allow all students to
access the quiz on their
device

-Allow students to
type on the game
pin on their device

- Once all of the

players have
joined click the
start button and
your game will
begin.

- After each
question you will
be able to see
all of the data

