My Job
₋ We have an operational and a financial responsibility in
our role, which is largely made up out of: Cost (efficient
movement and storage of goods), Service to business,
Cycle Time, Growth support, Inventory.
₋ On the operational side we need to manage our logistics
suppliers with whom we fulfil a global distribution model.
₋ On the financial side we validate invoicing, allocate costs,
provide cost outlooks and set budgets
₋ An important indicator for us is how we score on OTIF (on
time in full)
₋ Warehouses (3PL/4PL)
₋ Receive inputs from iSupplier, GIB, OTM,
Snowflake, suppliers, EBS (oracle), Vision, BPA
₋ Carriers
₋ BBA (financial services)
₋ Planning
CHALLENGES
₋ Finance ⁻ Maintain the right balance between the cycle time and growth capacity.
Better cycle time increases costs. A primary focus on cost leads to the
longer cycle time. With today’s economic development we see a shortage in
capacity driving our costs up.
⁻ OTM is not providing all required information on time
⁻ Backloaded quarters and market disruptions (i.e. Amazon)
