BENEFITS OF AN INDUSTRIAL UPS (CONT.)

Best reliability in harsh or

Tropicalized electronic boards
contaminated environments (humidity,
Tinned copper busbars

Metal clad cubicles Resistant to damage from knocks or
2mm painted panels on folded corrosion and easy removal for
2mm structure – all galvanised maintenance
Best use of real estate in confined
Designed for front access only
plant rooms or off-shore installations
Naturally cooled chargers and n+1
No risk of shut-down due to fan failure
redundant fans on inverters
IP ratings up to IP55 No risk of unwanted ingress
High rated battery charger Fast recharge of any autonomy
Fastest and most reliable fault
Single phase UPS up to 250kVA
clearing for single phase loads
IP REQUIREMENT & ACCESS FOR MAINTENANCE
Is this a UPS that can work for 15 years?

What is SEEN
out side What is REALLY
inside

Some dubious
practices to be
careful !!
What about ventilation ? An external cubicle, over
IP20 UPS, seriously affect ventilation and thus life

What about maintainability & Accessibility? UPS not

accessible and need dismantling from external
cubicle. Extra longer MTTR (Mean time to repairing)

MAINTENANCE

• Keep the battery clean using only water

• Check the electrolyte level once a year.
Never let the level fall bellow the low level
• Check at least once yearly that all
connectors are tight
• Protect the connectors by coating with
grease or neutral Vaseline
• Check the charging voltage of each cell
• Regular Boost and Cycling of battery
BATTERY IS AT THE HEART OF THE UPS

Pay attention to its design,

Carefully look after it, once installed !
