SHOT:1
In shot one, it is a out of focus distance shot and the audience can only see a
shadow of a person which creates curiosity among the audience, the
character is coming forward towards the camera from the end of the corridor,
still out of focus, he walks along the corridor which brings us to shot 2.
SHOT:2
As the main character comes closer to the camera this shot is not out of
focus anymore, reveals the face of the character and creates a Mid shot
,the whole shot is dark but the stressed and intense eyes of the character
are focused with light with gives the idea that he might be a important
character in the film.
SHOT:3
This shot is again a dark scene, the shot is a over the shoulder (left)
shot, shows the character with his gun raised and then the camera
follows him to the other side of the 180 degree line in a single motion
into shot 4.
SHOT:4
In this shot we see the other side of the corridor, where we see that the
character is looking into a lit room, which is a contrast to the dark
corridor he was in before.
SHOT:5
This shot is taken from the inside of the room, the character is entering the
room and now is fully visible to the audience and the character is still
pointing the gun,
Rule of thirds is not used in this shot as there is a lot of negative space on
the left side.
SHOT:6
The sequence cuts to shot 6 which is a mid shot taken from a high angle, a
dead man lying on the floor, then there is a movement shot and the camera
pans around the room in the same motion that a person would do looking
around the room. We see another man dead on the floor, then the camera
continues to pan in the same single motion to shot 7.
SHOT:7
This is a distance shot and the character is standing still pointing his
gun and again looking around the room.
we hear some dialogue from a woman, who we assume is speaking to
through the earpiece in his ear, it refers to an “it” which is where shot
changes to shot 8.
SHOT:8
8 comes in, and it was a close up shot focusing on the smashed laptop.
Showing the audience that “it” refers to a laptop, which is the focal point of the shot.
SHOT:9
Shot 9 is again a mid shot taken from over the wounded person
shoulder which makes it a ‘over the shoulder’ (right) shot as well.
Bond examining a man’s wounds, we know from the dialogue of
the scene he is an agent called Ronson, who has been shot.
Other than that, we don’t know anything about the scene, or who
the people are, or why they are there, so it intrigues us to watch
further.
