RE DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND

1. The limitation of fossil fuels to fulfill electricity demand sustainably and


target of RE generation in 2025 (23%).
2. Renewable Energy (RE) as best solution to increase Electrification
Ratio, especially to electrify remote/isolated islands/areas.
3. The reduce of RE technology cost means economically it becomes
competitive compared to fossil fuel-based, with advantages on
reliability and security of energy supply.
4. Acceleration program for developing RE needs compatible human
resources and mind set changing.
5. Capacity building in the design, operation and maintenance of RE are
needed urgently.

RE ACADEMY OBJECTIVE

• To become a world class and excellent learning center on renewable


energy power plant.
• To prepare and develop experts on renewable energy power plant
• To provide learning solution for business issues related to renewable
energy power plant in Unit of PLN
• To become a center of reference for problem solving in operational and
provide contributions on achieving best performance.
• To initiate success story improvement management to become a
learning process.

PLN RE Academy Location

PT PLN (Persero) Udiklat Makassar Renewable Energy Academy is


located on Gowa – Sulawesi Selatan

Currently, PLN Udiklat Makassar also conducts other type of training,


including Profession, Career and Supporting Training
