Phase 1: Awareness and Appreciation
• Conduct of Seminar/Orientation/Symposium to all students/pupils on the Principles, Values and
Concepts of Peace and Culture of Peace that promotes safe learning environment. (It must be
learned, memorized and understood by the students. These should be posted in the Peace Board and
Corner.)
• Conduct of Seminar/Orientation/Symposium to all students/pupils on UNICEF’s Child’s Rights,
Obligations and Responsibilities. (It must be posted inside the classroom, included in the Student
Handbook and/or written in the Advocacy Materials.)
• Conduct of Seminar/Orientation/Symposium to all teaching non-teaching personnel, parents,
Barangay Officials, Community Organization, Sectors, Associations, etc. on the Principles, Values
and Concepts of Peace and Culture of Peace, EO 570 and DM 469.
• Conduct activities/practices that advocates and fosters peace and good relationship in school and
community such as SBM, Brigada Eskwela, Gulayan sa Paaralan/Peace Garden, SWM,
KaPEACEtahan, Peace Table, Tree Growing, Clean Up Drive, Interfaith Dialogue, DRRM, SGC,
Special Holidays and Rituals, Fiesta, Christmas Party, Outreach Program, Zumba for Peace
Interfaith Prayer, etc.

Phase 2: Capacity Building
• Conduct orientation on Peace Education integration in the lessons.
• School Head and Teachers’ attendance to Peace Education, Conflict
Management, DRR and CPP school-based and/or Division-led trainings
and seminars.
• Lesson Plan with Peace Integration enhancement/development
seminar/training.

Phase 3: Application/Adaptation
• Teaching of lesson plans with peace integration.
• School Head supervise/observe in the teaching of lesson plans with peace
integration.
• School Head supervise and provide TA on developing/enhancing lesson plans with
peace integration.
• Conduct of Peace Education IM development training-workshop.
• Conduct of Peace roll-out trainings and planning conference.
• Implementation of Peace Education Structures, Projects, Programs and Activities led
and actively participated by the students such as cleaning, repairing and
reconstructing of peace structures, classroom structuring, and conducting peace
programs and activities (kaPEACEtahan, Peace Camp, Peace Month/Week/Day
Celebrations, Clean Up drive, Tree Growing, Peace Run/Walk/Zumba, peace
innovative activities, etc.)

Phase 4: Institutionalization
• Conduct of Meeting/Conference/Training to integrate Peace Education and
Culture of Peace programs, projects, activities and initiatives in the SIP.
• Conduct of School-Community collaborative and constructive engagement for
supporting school as a Zone of Peace towards increasing access to and quality
of basic education based on SIP such as Peace Camp, KaPEACEtahan,
Zumba/Run/Walk for Peace, Family Day, Peace Day/Week/Month Celebration,
Construction of Peace Hubs, Peace Park, Peace Garden, Peace Board and
Corner, Peace Quotes, Peace Feeding Program, Interfaith Prayer, Dialogue
through Peace Table, Home Visitation and conduct of Peace related innovative
activities and initiatives.

Peace Programs
DepEd South Cotabato Peace Programs:
7.1 “May PEACE pag Malinis”
• Peace Education led School clean and green
program and Clean Up Drive.
• Students must be disciplined on proper waste
disposal whenever they are in the school.
Program’s tarp/signage should be posted in the
conspicuous places of the school.
All schools are encourage to implement and
advocate this program.
Schools are expected to be cleaned all the time and
trashes are properly disposed and segregated.

• School-based outreach program for
identified poor pupils.
• Done before the start of classes and at the
middle of the school year.

• Every learner and teacher should model peace as a way of life to
promote peaceful and harmonious relationship in school.
• By doing this, there will be No Bullying, No Resentments, No
Violence, No Destruction of properties and plants, No Cruelty to
animals, No Littering and No other Atrocities will happen in school.
• Peace comes from within us (inner peace).
• Peace can be achieved if we do good and do what is right.
• Peace is everybody’s concern. Every individual is a Peace Builder
and Peace Maker.
• Peaceful Environment and Peace of Mind is a result of Peaceful
Acts and Deeds.
• Love and respect promotes Peace.
DepEd South Cotabato Peace Programs:
“I am PEACE” greetings:
All pupils/students and teachers will greet everyone in the school:
“Good morning/afternoon ma’am/sir
(put right hand on the left chest and bend).
Peace be with you (show peace sign)”.
• Should be done by all students and teachers all the time in school.
• During the launching at Flag Raising Ceremony, School Peace
Coordinator should present the Rationale of the program, then, All
pupils/students and teachers will take an Oath, recite the Pledge
for Peace and at the end of the pledge, they will say their
name and shout, “I am Peace”.
• This should be documented and posted in the Facebook with the
title: “I am Peace” oath taking at (name of school).
