    Solid pseudopapillary tumor most commonly affects young women around 25 years old. It has a low malignant potential, and patients have a good prognosis if the tumor is completely resected. The tail of the pancreas is the most common location, followed by the head and body. The tumor is usually encapsulated and contains areas of hemorrhage and cystic change internally. Calcium deposits may be seen in 30% of cases, usually in the periphery. Imaging shows a solid mass, solid and cystic lesion, or a completely cystic lesion. The capsule enhances with contrast, and differential diagnoses include cystic neoplasms, nonfunctional endocrine tumors in older patients, and pseudocysts.
